Bio

Kate Anderson is a DC-based writer and comedian. Her writing has been featured in McSweeney’s, Health, The Belladonna Comedy, and Points In Case.

She began her comedic training at the People’s Improv Theater in NYC, where she wrote, produced, and performed in sketch, stand-up, and improv shows. She was featured in NYC’s long-running “Old School Sketch Show” and her all-women’s variety show “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up the Patriarchy” appeared before a full audience. She also studied satire writing at The Second City.

Before entering the world of comedy, Kate obtained degrees in urban planning and French literature at Harvard and Georgetown, which have granted her a deeper appreciation of Parks and Recreation and the absurdity of our times, respectively.

Her fave topics to explore include mental health, spirituality, and sexism. You know, the light stuff!
